Through anothers girls blog, I've learned a lot more about Mitrice. I've learned that Mitrice is a lesbian and that she's been dating a girl for 2 years. Mitrice had planned on taking her education to the lesbian and gay community because she felt that there weren’t enough qualified and sensitive psychiatrists that catered to people who were gay. Click here to read more about Mitrice and to hear an interview her girlfriend recently did on the radio station KJLH.

I feel really bad for the entire family of Mitrice. I can't imagine what I'd do or how I'd feel if all the sudden Molly went missing with a supposed mental disorder. I'd really like to do what I can to help so I'm going to continue spreading the message of her disappearance.

Oh and here is a link to some flyers that you can print and post in areas you think could help. http://www.jasmynecannick.com/blog/?p=7206

Daniel V. Jones

Last night, as I was talking with my parents we ended up on the subject of healthcare. In particular, we discussed our views about HMO's because all 3 of us have HMO health insurance. As we all unanimously agreed on the fact that having HMO health insurance feels like we're wasting good money I couldn't help but think of a man named Daniel V. Jones. In 1998, I watched a live police chase that ended in the suicide of Daniel V. Jones. He committed suicide because he was HIV positive and felt he wasn't receiving adequate healthcare with an HMO. It was probably one of the most shocking things I've watched on tv before. I think it's so sad that our healthcare hasn't gotten any better. PPO or HMO, America's healthcare is in a shithole. Doctor's don't take the time to really pay attention. Instead, their favorite thing to do is prescribe, prescribe, prescribe.

Here's more about the story of Daniel V. Jones:

According to The Los Angeles Times, three weeks prior to the incident, Jones told an anonymous friend that he had a growth coming out of his neck, which later turned out to be cancer. According to this friend, Jones felt that he was getting the runaround from his healthcare insurer. Jones's sister Janet also told the Associated Press that Jones's best friend revealed to her that her brother was HIV-positive.

At 3:00 p.m. on April 30, 1998, Jones drove his pickup truck to the transition loop between the Harbor and Century Freeways, accompanied by his dog. He stopped on the loop's carpool lane, and began aiming a shotgun at other passing cars, causing motorists to dial 911. Police responded immediately, and LAPD helicopters flew over the scene, while members of the LAPD's Special Weapons Team began to assemble. News helicopters from KNBC and KCBS also arrived on the scene to uncover the unfolding standoff.

Soon after the LAPD shut down the highway, Jones used his cellular phone to dial 911 himself. According to the dispatcher who received the call, "He was just rambling...He mentioned he was unhappy about HMOs" During his call, Jones fired several rounds, including one that tore a hole through the roof of the truck.

At 3:38, Jones pulled a videotape out of his knapsack, wrapped in clothing, before putting it back inside the knapsack and throwing it over the loop's median wall onto the freeway below. On the videotape, seen afterwards by police, Jones further expressed his resentment against HMOs and predicted his suicide. After disposing of the knapsack, he exited his vehicle and unfurled a banner onto the empty roadway reading, "HMO's [sic] are in it for the money. Live free, love safe or die."

Jones returned to his pickup truck, where he ignited a Molotov cocktail. The ensuing fire engulfed the pickup, and also burned Jones, who caught fire on his hair, pants, and socks. In pain, he peels off the charred socks and pants and then his underwear. Naked from the waist down, he approached the median wall as if considering to jump, making obscene gestures at the helicopters. After a moment, however, he walked away from the wall and returned to his truck, where he retrieved a shotgun. He leaned the shotgun on the median wall before placing the barrel at his chin and pulling the trigger, killing himself in a graphic fashion.

Here is the video of the entire thing. If you are squemish do not watch this. It does show him killing himself. R.I.P. Daniel V. Jones.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tomorrowsdreamsreality.blogspot.com/2009/10/daniel-v-jones.html' title='Daniel V. I find it to be the strangest story. She's at restaurant by herself, has a nice dinner, tells the waiter she can't pay, is sent to jail for the night, was released at 1 a.m. and walked into the dark with nothing but clothes on her back and disappears.

They've been conducting searches every weekend for over a month now. Her parents are worried sick about her and people keep reporting sightings of her. Nothing about her disappearance makes sense. Supposedly, she seemed a little coo-coo bananas when she was at the restaurant by herself yet she's a college grad student who majored in psychology.

And now she's been sighted again this past weekend: http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktla-missing-woman-malibu,0,1119086.story

I have a confession..

I have been listening to instrumental music all week and I sit in my office pretending like I'm leading an orchestra while I'm listening. The first time was during the movie, Pearl Harbor. Though, I was not a big fan of the movie necessarily I was certainly a big fan of the instrumental soundtrack. I still listen to it off and on today.

Speaking of composer's, one of my favorites has to be Thomas Newman. I think I've enjoyed more of the movies he's composed for than any other composer I've paid attention to. Heck, Thomas Newman even did the entire soundtrack to Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael. His music sounds completely different now than it did back in the 80's though. It takes on this sort of melancholy sound now. It's very fitting for some of the movies he's done recently. Like for instance, Revolutionary Road.

I must share a song that was composed by Thomas recently that really stood out to me in one of my favorite films. See if you can guess what film this song is in:

An interview with Dylan Klebold's mother..
"I Will Never Know Why"
By Susan Klebold

Since the day her son participated in the most devastating high school shooting America has ever seen, I have wanted to sit down with Susan Klebold to ask her the questions we've all wanted to ask—starting with "How did you not see it coming?" and ending with "How did you survive?" Over the years, Susan has politely declined interview requests, but several months ago she finally agreed to break her silence and write about her experience for O. Even now, many questions about Columbine remain. But what Susan writes here adds a chilling new perspective. This is her story. — Oprah

Just after noon on Tuesday, April 20, 1999, I was preparing to leave my downtown Denver office for a meeting when I noticed the red message light flashing on my phone. I worked for the state of Colorado, administering training programs for people with disabilities; my meeting was about student scholarships, and I figured the message might be a last-minute cancellation. But it was my husband, calling from his home office. His voice was breathless and ragged, and his words stopped my heart. "Susan—this is an emergency! Call me back immediately!"

The level of pain in his voice could mean only one thing: Something had happened to one of our sons. In the seconds that passed as I picked up the phone and dialed our house, panic swelled within me; it felt as though millions of tiny needles were pricking my skin. My heart pounded in my ears. My hands began shaking. I tried to orient myself. One of my boys was at school and the other was at work. It was the lunch hour. Had there been a car accident?

When my husband picked up the phone, he shouted, "Listen to the television!"—then held out the receiver so I could hear. I couldn't understand the words being broadcast, but the fact that whatever had happened was big enough to be on TV filled me with terror. Were we at war? Was our country under nuclear attack? "What's happening?" I shrieked.

He came back on the line and poured out what he'd just learned during a distraught call from a close friend of our 17-year-old son, Dylan: There was some kind of shooting at the high school…gunmen in black trenchcoats were firing at people…the friend knew all the kids who wore trenchcoats, and all were accounted for except Dylan and his friend Eric…and Dylan and Eric hadn't been in class that morning…and no one knew where they were.

My husband had told himself that if he found the coat, Dylan couldn't be involved. He'd torn the house apart, looking everywhere. No coat. When there was nowhere left to look, somehow he knew the truth. It was like staring at one of those computer-generated 3-D pictures when the abstract pattern suddenly comes into focus as a recognizable image.

I barely got enough air in my lungs to say, "I'm coming home." We hung up without saying goodbye.

My office was 26 miles from our house. All I could think as I drove was that Dylan was in danger. With every cell in my body, I felt his importance to me, and I knew I would never recover if anything happened to him. I seesawed between impossible possibilities, all of them sending me into paroxysms of fear. Maybe no one knew where Dylan was because he'd been shot himself. Maybe he was lying in the school somewhere injured or dead. Maybe he was being held hostage. Maybe he was trapped and couldn't get word to us. Maybe it was some kind of prank and no one was hurt. How could we think for even a second that Dylan could shoot someone? Shame on us for even considering the idea. Dylan was a gentle, sensible kid. No one in our family had ever owned a gun. How in the world could he be part of something like this?

Click here to read the rest of the article

A hopeful explanation..

For 2 years now my head has been in complete agony. 4 vertigo attacks, constant unbalance, a complete lack of energy, ear fullness, ear popping, so on and so on. I've always had a theory in the back of my mind that I got an infection in my right ear. The worst kind of infection. An infection that you can't take medicine for. A viral infection.

viral infection [(veye-ruhl)]

An infection caused by a virus. At present, viral infections cannot be treated with antibiotics. (Compare bacterial infection.)
The neurologist I have gone to recently briefly mentioned the word "neuritis" when I asked him what the vertigo attacks were caused by.

In vestibular neuritis, dizziness is attributed to a viral infection of the vestibular nerve (see figure 1). The vestibular nerve carries information from the inner ear about head movement. When one of the two vestibular nerves is infected, there is an imbalance between the two sides, and vertigo appears.

Now if you go to this link: http://ehealthforum.com/health/topic36950.html you can read about hundreds of other people who have had a viral infection in their ear and they exhibit the same symptoms that I have down to a T. The only difference between myself and the majority is that I've had the unpleasant experience of having this viral infection for almost 2 years. Yes, it can last that long in some cases. I have noticed it tapering off though. My last vertigo attack, which occurred last month, gave me no side effects afterwards. Though, I'm still experiencing off-balance and I feel that my right ear is permanently damaged. I didn't have any hearing loss in it but say if I barely stick a Q-tip in my ear it'll somehow irritate my eardrum and do something weird to it for a day or two.

I think today I can finally be at peace with the clarification. I'm still very upset that my ENT knew absolutely nothing about nothing but I'm going to move on from that and change my medical group. I am now hopeful that sometime within the next year I'm going to fully recover and my balance problems will gradually get better.

Now I think I might tackle this idea: http://drbenkim.com/estrogen-dominance-health.htm

Mowrry, this is for you!

Ok, you might have already heard this but this is Lykke Li's new song from the next Twilight - New Moon film. So now I just have to post a song I love. It's done by Fever Ray and it's titled Here Before. I love this song so much because of the noises in it. I have no idea what these noises are.
